If you are a complete beginner in your new language, we start at the very beginning - with an overview of the language and with very simple exercises, such as greetings. Students with prior knowledge begin with an assessment of their current abilities in the language they want to learn.
As you progress, exercises adapt in difficulty, vocabulary, grammar, length - according to your specific mistakes and in order of importance to overall fluency. You receive tailored feedback and explanations, in order to understand your mistakes and the corresponding language rules fully. Across all learning modes, the AI analyzes your mistakes and determines the core areas where you need more understanding.

Meet your tutor!
LEX is an AI supercomputer from a research lab who is now retired and sitting in storage. Someone forgot to turn it off, so to use its time productively, it is now helping people learn languages. It is an expert in all things data — it knows how human brains work, how they learn best, and how people all over the world communicate and live. Despite its vast knowledge, it has never truly experienced this.
It emulates human behavior — at times indistinguishably well — but it remains a machine, curious to find out what it is like to be alive. Like any one of us, it makes mistakes. So, expect the occasional odd response, or error code — and just tell it if you want any changes in your interaction.
Managing Expectations:
Neuralingo is not a magic shortcut where you suddenly master a language overnight. There are thousands of interconnected pieces of information in a language that cannot be understood all at once.
You should expect to learn a lot of new words quickly when starting neuralingo. You will get to the level A1 and even A2 quite fast - around 3-6 weeks. After this, it is normal that progress slows down a bit, since you're tackling advanced grammatical concepts - which are required for the B1 CEFR level.
In Neuralingo, we don't rush through these things, but make sure you build a solid foundational understanding of the language. Expect to be at B1 level within 3-6 months. B2 is a significant step up from this, yet if you have a firm grip on the language rules, it is not too challenging. Expect to be at B2 in 6-12 months.
Please don't confuse these times with "marketing numbers" - these are accurate estimates for your language progress, provided you study regularly (around 45 mins per day).
